Infra-SWISS panels heat primarily objects which absorb or reflect the radiated waves. Gradually the air temperature in a room rises. There is no air circulation as in a conventional heating system.

Operating principles
Conventional heating systems warm up the air by means of convection. This induces a circulation of air in the room dispersing dust and mites. A noticeably uncomfortable temperature difference between floor and ceiling develops. Cold feet often cause people to turn up the heat thus drying out the air in the room as well as mucous membranes.

Whoever has enjoyed a sunny winter’s day has noticed that feeling cold or warm does not depend on the surrounding air temperature. This is the basic operating principle of infrared heating.
InfraSWISS panels emit heat waves that hit primarily objects and bodies in the room. These objects either absorb or reflect the energy until an even temperature distribution in the room has been established. No draft develops. Walls, floors, ceilings and objects in the room have about the same temperature. These conditions account for the healthful side of this form of heating: The air remains at a consistent temperature and humidity and the room climate feels comforting and pleasant.
